African Minerals realises $2.5 million in fourth sale of rough diamonds
African Minerals Ltd. said it sold 7,218.86 carats at $345.84 per carat, realising gross sale proceeds of $2.5 million, at its fourth sale of rough diamonds.
The mineral exploration company said Special Diamond Company Ltd., a subsidiary company of Overseas Diamonds N.V., undertook the sale.
The sale of diamonds, which attracted 10 buyers, was fully compliant with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme and the diamonds were sourced from bulk sampling activities at the company’s alluvial operation for the period from May 5 to Dec. 13, 2007.
