Australian energy, farm, mineral exports to jump 16 percent: govt agency

Australian energy, farm and mineral export earnings are set to jump 16 per cent to a record 143 billion dollars (104 billion US) in the year to June 2007, a government agency has said.

The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) said energy exports should rise to some 47.9 billion dollars from 41.2 billion dollars in the current year, with metals and other mineral exports climbing 22 percent to 61.9 billion dollars.

Farm product exports are set to rise 3.7 percent to 29.3 billion dollars.
