Metallic Ventures Gold Inc. Announces Start of Drilling Program at its Converse Project in Nevada

Metallic Ventures Gold Inc. is pleased to announce the start of its development/exploration drilling program at its Converse Project in Humboldt County Nevada that was previously press released on October 17, 2006.

MVG has budgeted $2,500,000 dollars to complete the program, during the first and second quarters of 2007. Two reverse circulation drilling rigs have commenced drilling and a core drilling rig is expected to be on site and drilling within the next few weeks. The Converse Project drilling program will provide four types of information. First, core holes will generate core for use in metallurgical and geotechnical analysis. Second, reverse circulation holes and core holes will define the periphery of the deposit and identify suitable areas for heaps, dumps and infrastructure. Third, reverse circulation and core holes will explore along two north-south structural trends. Finally, the program will help define Newmont’s future participation in Converse.
