Mining on The Yellow Dog Plains: The Debate

For the first time, opposing sides in the contentious battle over mining on the Yellow Dog Plains will meet face to face in a Prime Time program to be broadcast on TV6 this Thursday, July 20, at 8:30 pm/7:30 pm CT.

James Clift of the Michigan Environmental Council and Jon Cherry of Kennecott Mine will each present compelling arguments regarding the Eagle Project, the mining of a high grade nickel copper deposit located in the Yellow Dog Plains near Big Bay. Clift and Cherry will answer questions about the environmental and economic impact of the project in a debate format hosted by TV6′s Don Ryan. The half-hour program will be broadcast commercial-free on TV6 as a community service.
