North American Salt Company Named Supplier of the Year by True Value Company

North American Salt Company, a subsidiary of Compass Minerals, has been named Supplier of the Year by True Value Company for outstanding service in the lawn and garden category. The award recognizes companies whose contributions have helped drive the growth of the True Value co-op and its members, resulting in the highest level of quality service and support to its retail stores.

“North American Salt deserves this coveted honor because it kept our retailers stocked with ice-melt products during one of the harshest winters ever,” said Todd Stanojev, True Value’s lawn and garden global product merchant. “They have been an extraordinary business partner that ensures the co-op can offer our members the best products to help them win at retail.”

North American Salt supplies its Safe Step® and Ice-A-way® brands and True Value’s Fast Melt® brand of consumer ice melt products to the True Value co-op and its members. North American Salt also supplies True Value with a broad selection of water conditioning and animal nutrition products.

In this year’s competition, the judging committee reviewed more than 2,200 suppliers who had service levels in excess of 95 percent and sales growth with the co-op of more than 5 percent.
