OAG Resources Announces New Drilling in Kentucky; 30 Well Drilling Project Begins in Lawrence County

OAG Resources recently announced that it has begun drilling a 30 well project on its Walbridge property in Lawrence County, Kentucky, with scheduled completion later this summer. Target formations include the Devonian Shale, Berea and Borden Sands (Weir/Keener/Big Injun), with wells drilled to a depth of approximately 2,700 ft testing all three horizons.

The first nine wells have reached total depth and have been logged productive in both the Devonian and Berea formations. One of the most promising wells tested productive in all three formations and all nine wells are at various stages of completion.

“We are very excited to begin developing this property,” reported Keith Welch, OAG Resources President. “We’re facing a very busy time, with plans to drill 60 plus wells this year. The outlook for OAG this year is staggering and we are thrilled to be moving forward with future prospects in a number of different areas.”

“Our first year in the Appalachian Basin has been very productive and we are currently evaluating 12 additional fields.” Welch added, “We are constantly evaluating new projects to develop and increase our reserves. OAG has also been fortunate enough to team up with some great partners and we are continually evaluating new relationships to keep up with our growth.”
