ONGC to notify four oil, gas finds
India’s state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corp. said it will notify four oil and gas discoveries in a month to the Directorate-General of Hydrocarbons.
The decision came at an ONGC board meeting Monday, an ONGC statement said Tuesday.
The board also cleared three major investments for growth-oriented projects, the statement said, adding these are the reconfiguration of the Dahej Petrochemicals Project, an additional processing facility at Hazira, and a 30 percent additional stake in Gulf-A.
“Three of the discoveries are on-land and the fourth is offshore. The on-land discoveries have been made in well Kosamba-41 and well Chaklasi-8, both in Western onshore and in well Mekrang-7 in Assam. The offshore discovery has been made in well B-12-11 in PEL Block BOFF 1, 2, 3 on the Arabian Sea,” the statement said.
