Perseus Mining Reports High Grade Diamond Drill
Perseus Mining announced that recent diamond drill results confirm the width and depth potential of the Sissingue East Zone, part of the large Sissingue prospect on the Tengrela gold project in Ivory Coast. High grade gold intercepts, previously observed in shallow RC drilling, have now been confirmed in several diamond drill holes. Diamond drilling at Sissingue East has intercepted significant gold mineralisation over widths of up to 130m and to a vertical depth of 200m. Results have now been received for Holes SD008 to 010. Hole SD009 intercepted 31m at 1.1g/t Au from 94m, and SD008 intercepted 9m at 1.1g/t plus 15m at 1.1g/t Au from 91m. It also advised that a second diamond drill rig has arrived at Tengrela to help deliver a resource for the Sissingue East Zone by the end of 2008.
