Ranger uranium mine operators consider expansion
The operator of the Northern Territory’s Ranger uranium mine is considering expanding the size of its open cut operations.
In a statement to the Australian Stock Exchange, Energy Resources of Australia says it has spent almost $5 million this year drilling for new deposits.
The company has been exploring across an area almost half the size of its existing pit.
It says the results of the exploration work, east of the open cut pit, should be known by the end of the year.
