Russia to ensure conditions for international uranium enrichment center

Russia is ready to ensure conditions for the setting up in Russia of an international center for uranium enrichment, Federal Atomic Energy Agency (Rosatom) Director Sergei Kirienko said in London on Thursday.

“I a week I plan to discuss this topic with the general director of the IAEA,” he said.

“We are ready to co-found the center with other countries. Specialists from these countries will receive access to information, these countries will be able to receive a share of the profits, and uranium enrichment is a profitable business. The only restriction is that foreign specialists will not have access to the enrichment technology,” Kirienko said.
