Soltoro Commences Drilling at High Grade Gold-Silver Victoria Project

Soltoro Ltd. has started a 1,500 metre diamond drill program at its 100% owned gold silver Victoria Project in Jalisco, Mexico. High-grade gold silver mineralization at the historic Lupita Mine is in quartz veins within dilation zones along north-northeast trending regional fault zones. The program is designed to test below the Lupita Mine and a gold in soil anomaly north east of the Lupita Mine.

In 1997, sampling by a Canadian-listed junior mining company of the upper levels returned up to 28.4 g/t gold and 1,280 g/t silver from grab samples. Samples taken from the mine dump returned up to 23.3 g/t gold and 3,545 g/t silver. The strike length of the Lupita Mine vein system at surface is 150 metres. In April of 2009, Soltoro identified a 500 metre long gold-in-soil geochemical anomaly which returned up to 1.23 g/t gold in a similar dilation zone approximately 600 metres north-east of the Lupita Mine.

The Victoria Project covers a large portion of the historic Mascota-Navidad mining district. Mining of this gold-silver district dates back to the mid 1500′s and was most active at the turn of the 19th century. A series of north-south trending quartz veins were mined from numerous historic high-grade gold silver mines. At Soltoro’s 100% owned Lupita Mine, near surface high-grade gold silver mineralization was mined historically over 1 to 2 metre widths at surface. High-grade veins up to 6 metres wide at 87 metres below surface were reported in historical data. The high-grade gold-silver veins were mined down to a depth of 230 metres over 11 levels.

Assaying from the 2009 Soltoro sampling program was completed by ALS Chemex through their office in Guadalajara, Mexico. Gold was analyzed using a 30 g fire assay with AA finish while the silver is analyzed using a four acid “near total” digestion package. Mr. Terence J. Bottrill, P.Eng., a consultant, member of the advisory board of the Company and a qualified person as defined by NI 43- 101 has reviewed and approved the contents of this press release. Field supervision of the Victoria project is provided by Mr. Chris Lloyd, M.Sc., Vice President, Exploration.

Soltoro is a junior exploration company exploring for low cost gold, silver and copper deposits in Mexico. The Company continues to drill at its El Rayo silver gold project to expand an NI 43-101 compliant silver resource and prove up gold resources, has a drill program underway at its Victoria gold silver project, has recently completed a geophysical survey at its La Tortuga project; and is also actively advancing its Quila, Chinipas and El Santuario projects. Soltoro has 35,047,850 shares outstanding and trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol SOL.
