Strategic Nevada Resources Hires Stewart Contracting to Begin Rehabilitation Work on the Crescent Mine

Strategic Nevada Resources is pleased to announce that it has engaged Stewart Contracting of Pinehurst, Idaho to commence rehabilitation of the surface structures at the Crescent Mine. Stewart Contracting is a licensed and bonded contractor that provides services to the civil construction, environmental reclamation and mining sectors.

The Crescent Mine site presently has six buildings, including offices, maintenance shops and a compressor building, and electrical substation buildings. Commencing today, crews from Stewart contracting will begin gutting out the structures. Scrap metal will be salvaged and shipped to a salvage yard. Old roadways will be plowed and reopened.

It is estimated that the work will take approximately 3 weeks to complete. At which point the buildings will be ready for restoration.

Strategic President Neil Linder commented “This is an important first step to bringing the Crescent back to life; we are confidant that Stewart Contracting will get the job done and we are pleased to be using a local Silver Valley company to help us with this project. Upon the completion of the project Mr. Linder feels we will have begun the process of bringing the Crescent Mine back to it’s past glory.”

Furthermore, the board of Strategic Nevada Resources wants to thank Scott Weekes, president of Red Star, for his advice and input during his tenure as a director of SNS. Mr. Weekes is resigning to make way for Dr. Ishuing Wu on the board, his resume was released in the press release dated December 27th 2006. The company wants to wish Mr. Weekes the best of luck and continued success with his many projects.

Strategic Nevada Resources owns 100% of the Crescent Mine in the Coeur d’Alene mining district. The Crescent Mine is a historic high-grade silver producer. From 1917-1982 the property produced 25 million ounces of Silver at an average grade of 27.3 ounces per ton. Prior to its last shut down in the 80′s, previous operators of the Crescent Mine reported over 9 million ounces of silver resources at an average grade of 18 ounces per ton.

The property lies between two world-class Silver producers. The Sunshine mine which has produced more than 300 million ounces of Silver and the Bunker Hill mine, which has produced over 150 million ounces of Silver. The Coeur d’Alene district is the only known mining district in North America to have produced over 1 billion ounces of silver.

Strategic Nevada Resources (SNS) trades on the TSX-V under the symbol SNS the Company has approximately 15.2 million shares outstanding and cash on deposit of $500,000.

All resource estimates quoted herein are based on data and reports obtained and prepared by previous operators. The Company has not completed the work necessary to independently verify the classification of the mineral resource estimates and is not treating the mineral resource estimates as National Instrument 43-101 defined resources verified by a qualified person. The historical estimates should not be relied upon. The Crescent Mine will require considerable further evaluation, which the Company’s management and consultants are in the process of completing.
