Strongbow Exploration Inc.: Airborne Radiometric/Magnetic Survey Completed at the North Thelon Uranium Project, Nunavut

Strongbow Exploration Inc. is pleased to report it has been notified by Bayswater Uranium Corporation that a geophysical contractor has completed a fixed wing radiometric and magnetic survey of the companies’ North Thelon uranium project, Nunavut. Although the survey data are still being processed, the information is of sufficient quality to define a number of radiometric anomalies within the survey area. Field crews have been mobilized to conduct initial field investigations of the highest priority radiometric anomalies, which are located in favourable geologic settings for unconformity-type uranium deposits.

The North Thelon project consists of ten prospecting permits in two blocks encompassing 330,794 acres (144,868 hectares) covering a northeasterly trending exposure of basement rocks within the northern Thelon Basin. The exposed rocks consist of Amer Group metasediments that are flanked by younger Thelon sandstones along the Amer Fault Zone. This fault structure is a major northeast trending regional tectonic feature with the potential to provide a structural and stratigraphic trap for uranium mineralization. Furthermore, the Amer Group metasediments are predominantly pelitic to semi-pelitic schists with local graphitic mudstones and iron rich units with the potential to provide a favourable reducing environment for the formation of unconformity type uranium deposits.

Strongbow and Bayswater are jointly exploring the North Thelon project under the terms of the Canada Uranium Joint Venture (“CUJV”) originally announced January 24, 2006 (Strongbow news release #06-04). Under the terms of the CUJV, Strongbow has elected to designate the North Thelon project as an “Earn-in Project” whereby Bayswater is required to spend the first $600,000 in exploration expenditures on the property in order to maintain its 50% interest. As such Bayswater is funding the entire cost of the current airborne survey and follow up field investigations.
