STW Resources Appoints Initial Group of Influential Outside Directors to Advise on Oil and Gas Water Recycling Operations

STW Resources, Inc. (“STW”) announced that it has brought on the following influential outside directors to advise it on its oil and gas water recycling operations. “These directors are key legislative and industry advisors who bring unique contributions to STW’s future success,” said Stanley T. Weiner, STW’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

The Honorable Bill Carter is a former long-term Member of the Texas House of Representatives (1984-2003) and is Chairman of the Texas Public Safety Committee. In addition to receiving the 1997 American Legislative Exchange Council “Legislator of the Year Award,” Rep. Carter has received numerous state and national awards, including “Outstanding Legislator Award” from the Texas Chiropractic Association, the “Legislative Excellence Award” from the Texas Head Injury Association, the Greater Dallas Crime Commission “Crime Fighter of the Year,” the “Outstanding Legislator in Texas” from the Texas Association of Regional Councils, and the “Presidential Achievement Award” from President Ronald Regan.

Robert L. Cerf has been a Petroleum Landman since 1975. Mr. Cerf has extensive experience in all areas of oil & gas land work. His experience includes title research, oil and gas lease acquisitions, farm-in and farm-out agreements, operating agreements, division orders, title curative, acquisition due diligence, purchase and sale of mineral and royalty interests, right of ways, drill site locations, negotiation of surface damages, marketing and evaluating prospects.

Joseph I. O’Neill III has almost 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He currently serves as Managing Partner of O’Neill Properties, a highly regarded Midland, Texas oil and gas producer. Mr. O’Neill is the Chairman of the Board of Texas Oil & Gas Association and is a Director of the Petroleum Club of Midland. He has served on the boards of numerous industry, civic, academic, political and charitable institutions. He is a graduate of Notre Dame University and formerly on the Board of Directors and a past President of the Notre Dame Alumni Association.

“These gentlemen are a key part of our expanding executive team put together to execute upon the Company’s collaboration with GE Water & Process Technologies.” said Mr. Wiener. Through this collaboration with GE, the Company will initially address the wastewater challenges of Barnett, Fayetteville and Appalachian Shale natural gas drilling plays – locations known for tough-to-treat wastewater. Utilizing GE patented water reclamation technologies, the effort will help the regions reclaim approximately 70% of their hydraulic fracturing wastewater. The reclaimed water can be reused in the next well or safely returned back to the environment. GE and STW will form project-specific companies, under the banner of “Water Reclamation Partners,” and will offer multi-year cost-per-barrel based service agreements. Water Reclamation Partners will build, own, and operate the equipment and processes required to treat the wastewater and recover reusable water.
