Update on Navasotas Koba Bauxite Project, Guinea

Navasota Resources Ltd. is pleased to report that aircore drilling on the Telimele and Gaoual (“AMIG”) permits of its Koba Bauxite Project located in the Boke Bauxite Belt of northwestern Guinea, West Africa, continues to progress well.

As of May 29, 2008, a total of 28,722 metres in 1,630 drill holes have been completed on the project, including 9,538 metres in 495 Phase 1 drill holes and 19,184 metres in 1,135 Phase 2 drill holes. Another 550 Phase 2 drill holes, at a hole spacing of 150 metres and totalling about 11,000 metres, will be completed at the top priority, bauxite-hosting “plateaus”.

Phase 1 drilling, designed to confirm the presence of bauxite mineralization on 25 target plateaus identified through Aster satellite imagery analyses, totalled 9,538 metres and consisted of 495 shallow holes at 300 and 600-metre hole spacings. Assay results for Madina Diang, Nomo and Tito plateaus were presented in the Navasota news release of November 6, 2007; those for Ouda and Farenya plateaus were presented in the Navasota news release of April 8, 2008.

Phase 2 drilling is designed to in-fill existing drilling at 150-metre spacings to determine bauxite mineralization continuity, grade and thickness variability; all necessary parameters for resource modelling. This in-fill program began in late January and has covered four large plateaus (Madina Diang, Farenya, Nomo, and Ouda) in the southeastern part of the permit areas, and 2 very large plateaus (Foye and Kouraidendeli) 5 kilometres to the northwest. Drilling continues at Kouraidendeli with drilling planned at Sapi, Lakhorde and Tenkele plateaus.

Coffey Mining is managing the drill program on behalf of Navasota, and West African Drilling Services are providing drill services. Samples from all drill programs are submitted to SGS Canada Inc. on an on-going basis and further assay results will be released when compiled.

Navasota has retained Scott Wilson Roscoe Postle Associates Inc., part of the Scott Wilson Mining Group, to complete a National Instrument 43-101 compliant resource estimate for the Koba Project. Personnel from Scott Wilson Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. completed an on-site review of the project in April.

General Information

Bauxite is the primary ore for the production of aluminum.

Navasota has the right to earn a 100% interest in the “AMIG” permits, which cover 1,064 square kilometres in the Telimele and Gaoual prefectures of Guinea. These permit areas are located in the Boke Bauxite Belt, which hosts the world’s largest and highest-quality bauxite deposits, and are directly surrounded by several of the world’s major bauxite miners. Three refineries have been proposed for construction in the Boke region in the next five years, all of which would be within close proximity to the Koba project area.

Christopher J. Wild, P.Eng, President and CEO of Navasota Resources Ltd. is Navasota’s Qualified Person as described in Canadian National Instrument 43-101.
