Alcan Names Jeffrey Garten to the Board of Directors, Effective Feb. 1
Canadian aluminum producer Alcan Inc. said Monday it named Jeffrey E. Garten a director of the company, effective Feb. 1.
Garten, 60, is a professor of international trade, finance and business at the Yale School of Management and chairman of the Garten Rothkopf consulting firm, which he founded in October 2005.
Garten also serves on the boards of Aetna Corp., CarMax and Credit Suisse Asset Management, among others.
Shares of Alcan gained a penny to $49.41 in afternoon trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
