Australia’s Grange receives approvals for Malaysian iron ore pellet plant

Grange Resources Ltd said it has been granted a manufacturing license and environmental approval by the Malaysian government for its 550 mln usd iron ore pellet plant at Kemaman.

It said the approvals represent significant milestones in the development of the 6.8 mln metric tons per year plant.

The project will process ore from the company’s Southdown iron ore project in southern Western Australia.

Southdown contains 76 mln tons of magnetite ore grading 37.4 pct magnetite.
