Beaufield Resources Inc.: October Drilling at Opinaca

Beaufield Resources Inc. is pleased to announce that a 1,000 metre diamond drill program has been awarded to Chibougamau Diamond Drilling Inc., and will be conducted on its Opinaca gold property in the James Bay region of Quebec. Drilling is scheduled to start in the beginning of October 2006.

The objective of this program is to define the potential of the Rusty gold Zone. It is anticipated that 3 to 5 holes will be drilled in order to evaluate the lateral and in depth extensions of the 20m zone found in the DDH OP-01-06.

The anomalous zone, located from 94m to 114m, mineralized in pyrrhotite and arsenopyrite over its entire length is characterized by an intense tourmalinization and silicification. The alteration and the mineralization found over these 20 metres are similar to the ones present in the Goldcorp’s Eleonore gold discovery (East-Roberto Zone). OP-01-06 has returned grades of 1.1 g/t Au and 1.8% arsenic over 20m (including a 3.0 g/t Au over 3m). A wide intersection in a highly favorable geological environment suggests a large gold bearing system with potential for width and grade.

The October program will assist in defining the planned winter drill program intended to continue drilling at the Rusty zone and to follow up data from surface sampling conducted during the summer of 2006.
