Cargo train with coal and minerals derails in in Kirov region
A cargo train with coal and minerals derailed in central Russia late on Thursday, but nobody was injured and there was no ecological hazard.
Nineteen train cars with coal and minerals derailed at 20:00 Moscow time in Kirov region, a spokesman of the Russian Railways Company told Tass.
â€œNobody was injured in the incident and there is no threat for ecology,â€ he said.
Five repair trains have left for the site.
The accident blocked the movement of passenger trains heading from Moscow to the Volga area, the Urals, the Far East, China and back.
â€œThey all used bypass tracks,â€ the spokesman said.
