County Line Energy Starts Drilling Of Consort Gas Property In East Central Alberta

County Line Energy Corp. said that it commenced drilling of the Consort Gas Property in east central Alberta.

The depth of the well will be about 1010 meters and it will total depth within the Wabamum formation. The main target of this test well is the third zone which is a true fluvial Glauconite Channel sand which can be up to 20 meters thick. Seismic data shows a strong ‘bright spot’ over this zone which would substantiate the channel theory. If this zone is productive, its rate could exceed 2000 mcf/day, the company noted.

Further, the company stated that it signed a farm-out agreement with Grizzly Holdings Inc. of Calgary Alberta. County Line will participate with a before payout interest of 42.5% and an after payout interest of 23.37%. An AFE has been provided and it is anticipated that this well will spud in November, depending on drilling rig availability.
