China Shipping Development Co. Ltd. said it would buy four very large iron ore carriers for US$323.2 million.
The company said in a statement it had entered into an agreement with Chinese shipbuilder CSSC Guangzhou Longxue Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. for the construction of the carriers, which would each have 230,000 dead weight tonnes.
