French oil company Total SA, the world’s fourth-largest oil and gas company, said its first-quarter profit rose 18 percent thanks to higher commodity prices. Exxon Mobil Corp. plans to develop gas wells in Dallas-Fort Worth with an affiliate of the Harding Co., Harding said Monday. Through a partnership Cinco County Barnett Shale LLC, Irving-based Exxon Mobil plans to produce and market gas from the Barnett Shale natural gas formation through an extensive, existing pipeline network.
