Franklin Mining Announces Zinc Find at Escala Generates Worldwide Interest

Franklin Mining, Inc. Chairman and CEO William Petty confirms he has received numerous inquiries concerning recently announced zinc content of Bolivia’s Escala Mine. Mr. Petty also confirms that Franklin’s Vice President of Operations for International Mining, Howard Dunn, P.E., is returning to Bolivia earlier than planned to supervise final testing and preparation for upcoming site visits by potential purchasers of zinc and other minerals.

As previously announced, a preliminary report following laboratory analysis of the Escala’s third tier of samples is expected from SGS Lakefield Research Limited within the next few weeks. The Escala Mine was established during the Spanish colonial period and has been mined for lead, zinc, gold and silver. In 2007, Franklin Mining, Bolivia (a wholly owned subsidiary of Franklin Mining, Inc.) negotiated an agreement with the National Mining Company of Bolivia (COMIBOL) to resume mining operations within the area of the original concession.
