Galantas Gold says construction of Omagh gold mine nearing completion
Galantas Gold Corp said it has made ‘substantial’ progress in the construction of its Omagh gold mine in Ireland.
The company said commissioning is expected in late summer with first cash flow from the project anticipated in the early autumn. It expects to hit full production in three to six months after that.
Galantas said that when complete, the site will be Ireland’s only producing gold mine with production of up to 30,000 ounces of gold a year, mainly within sulphide concentrate, for shipment and sale to third party smelters.
It added that a diamond drilling programme is also under way at or near the Omagh site and samples have been sent for analysis.
