Goodrich Petroleum announces preliminary Cotton Valley horizontal well results

Goodrich Petroleum Corporation has drilled and fracture stimulated its initial horizontal well in the Cotton Valley trend, the Goodrich Petroleum, J.K. Williams 1-H in the North Minden field of Panola County, Texas. The J.K. Williams 1-H was drilled to 12,821 measured depth with a horizontal lateral of approximately 2,700 feet. The Company successfully fracture stimulated four of the planned six stages, or approximately 1,800 feet of the 2,700 foot lateral. During the initial flow back, the well produced at a maximum controlled rate of approximately 3,300 Mcf per day. The well was turned to sales last week with the initial flow back producing up the 7 inch casing string. The Company currently plans to run production tubing and return the well to production.

The Company has recently spudded its second horizontal well in the North Minden field and plans to spud its third horizontal well in the Bethany- Longstreet field of DeSoto Parish, Louisiana prior to the end of January.
