Harsco Announces New Railway Track Maintenance Equipment Orders Totaling Close to $10 Million

Worldwide industrial services company Harsco Corporation announced its receipt of new Class I railway orders in the U.S. for a range of track maintenance equipment totaling close to $10 million.

Harsco will build a total of 15 separate units under the orders, including track surfacing machines, spike drivers, and tie replacement units. Harsco’s railway track maintenance division, Harsco Rail, is one of the largest and most complete providers of railway track maintenance services and equipment in the world. The units will be built in Harsco Rail’s manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and are scheduled for delivery by the end of this year.

Announcing the orders, Harsco Chairman and CEO Salvatore D. Fazzolari said, “The building and maintenance of modern railway infrastructure is a core component of virtually all of the world’s economic stimulus programs. It is a great reflection on our employees and our products to be playing an important role.”
