India said 13 oil and gas exploration blocks are under operation in various parts of Rajasthan state.

“Currently, 13 oil and gas exploration blocks are under operation in production-sharing contract regime falling in the 14 districts of Rajasthan state. In addition, Oil and Natural Gas Corp. and Oil India Ltd. are also licensees in pre-new exploration licensing policy blocks in Barmer, Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Ganga Nagar districts of Rajasthan,” Donsha Patel, junior minister for petroleum and natural gas, said Wednesday in reply to a parliamentary question.

He said in the PSC regime, in two pre-NELP blocks, a total of 78.99 million metric tons of recoverable oil and gas reserves have been aggregated.
