Industrial Info Releases New North American Coal-Fired Power Industry Wall Map

Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) is pleased to announce the release of the new North American Coal-Fired Power Plant Industry Wall Map. The map displays demographics on over 600 operating coal-fired power plants in North America. In addition to identifying utility scale power plants, the map also lists industrial power producing power plants at synthetic fuel plants, chemical plants, pulp and paper mills, food and beverage plants, pharmaceutical and biotech facilities and industrial manufacturing plants that produce captive power and/or steam for onsite processes. Information provided on the map includes owner name, employee counts, county name and state, telephone and fax numbers and total plant design capacity. All this information is provided on a colorful 69″X36″ wall map.

Electric power producers are finding themselves challenged to produce the most reliable, efficient and environmentally friendly forms of energy as global demand for electricity increases to record levels. Coal is one of the most plentiful fuels available for generating electricity. Also, over recent years coal has become increasingly competitive with natural gas as a fuel source. Advancements in combustion technologies and emission reduction technologies are making it more likely that coal will continue to play a significant role in meeting future energy demands well into the 21st century.
