Atlas Iron has released an update regarding its Pardoo and Abydos iron ore projects. Highlights include 20m @ 62.4 % Fe from 14m in PDRC648 and 14m @ 58.4 % Fe from 28m in PDRC721.

Minerals explorer Warwick Resources Ltd has identified its largest direct shipping iron ore target to date at its Woggaginna project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region. The iron ore business is going gangbusters. Cleveland-Cliffs on Thursday reported revenues of two billion dollars in 2006. That’s a 15 percent increase over 2005 and the highest revenue in company history.

CCI produced fewer iron ore pellets last year, but was able to charge a higher price. Demand is especially strong from Asian steel producers.

Iran Minerals Production and Supply Co, produced around 13,313,084 tons of iron ore during the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March, 21, 2006), Tehran Times reported. The figure is indicative of 120% growth compared with the same period last year.
