LDK in Solar Wafer Deal with Jiangxi
LDK Solar Co signed a five-year contract to supply multicrystalline solar wafers to China-based Jiangxi Solar PV Corp.
LDK Solar will deliver about 70 megawatts of the wafers to JSPV, a new venture created by U.S.-based Solar PV Corp., over a five-year period starting in 2009. Financial details were not disclosed.
LDK Solar shares rose $1.74, or 4.9 percent, to $37.39 in afternoon trading.
