Noble Energy Makes Discovery Off Equitorial Guineaadmin
Energy company Noble Energy Inc. said Monday it discovered oil at one of its blocks off the coast of Equitorial Guinea.
The company said the Block I find — which was drilled to 10,460 feet — yielded about 1,038 barrels per day of hydrocarbon liquids in production tests and 34.3 million cubic feet per day of natural gas, which equals about 6,755 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
The well is located in 2,880 feet of water and is situated roughly 25 miles east of Bioko Island.
Noble shares added 6 cents to $63.26 in early trading.
