Qatar Fertilizer Company signs ammonia supply deal with Jordan Phosphate Mines Co Ltd

Qatar Fertilizer Company (Qafco) has signed an agreement with Jordan Phosphate Mines Co Ltd (JPMC) to increase its ammonia supply to the firm to 130,000 metric tonnes.

Khalifa Abdulla Al Sowaidi, Qafco Managing Director and Waleed Al Kurdi, JPMC Chairman signed the agreement in Amman. During the ceremony Al Suwaidi handed over Qafco’s award “Customer of the Year 2005-2006″ to JPMC Chairman.

The signing ceremony was attended from Qafco side by Yousef Jeham Al Kuwari, Marketing Manager; Ali Ahmed Al Sanadi, Ammonia Sales Manager. And from JPMC side the event was attended by Mohammed S Baderkhan, Deputy CEO/Finance and Administration, Najim A Hummadi, Deputy CEO/Production and Advisor to Chairman/CEO and Suhail Al Muselh, Deputy CEO/Marketing.

Al Sowaidi said that Jordan is one of Qafco’s most important and strategic markets, pointing out that the business relationships between the two companies have been developing significantly during the last three years.

Qafco, he said, became major supplier of ammonia to Jordan Phosphate Mines Co Ltd, adding that both companies have demonstrated strong commitments in all fields and that Qafco marketing strategies is focused on its current and future expansion.
