Ritchie Bros. Orlando auction to sell 30 concrete pump trucks and other equipment items

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, the world’s largest industrial auctioneer, is conducting a three-day, multi-million dollar unreserved public auction at the Company’s permanent auction site in Orlando, Florida, from Wednesday, May 27, 2009 to Friday, May 29, 2009 starting at 8:00 a.m. each day. More than 2,650 construction, transportation and other equipment items, including 30 concrete pump trucks and other concrete pumping equipment, will be sold during the unreserved auction to the highest bidders with no minimum bids or reserve prices.

The 30 concrete pump trucks and concrete pumping equipment will be sold on Day 2 (May 28) of the auction as part of a complete dispersal of the former assets of Pumpco Inc., a concrete pumping service company that had operations throughout the Southeastern United States and the Orlando area. The majority of the concrete pumps are mounted on a Mack chassis and manufactured by Putzmeister, Schwing and Concord-three of the largest and most recognized concrete pump manufacturers in the world. Pumpco representatives will be on-site in the yard a week prior to auction day to provide concrete pump truck demonstrations to interested bidders.

“The equipment being featured in the sale, including the 30 concrete pump trucks and other late model items, is unlike anything we’ve ever had at a spring Orlando auction before,” says Gary Seybold, Divisional Manager, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. “All the concrete pump trucks and many of the late model equipment items being sold have low hours and are in very good condition-the auction will be a fantastic opportunity for interested buyers to purchase some exceptional equipment at fair market value.”

The unreserved auction will also feature an extensive selection of industrial equipment from close to 200 owners including Ring Power Corporation, Kelly Tractor, Briggs Equipment, Gigliotti Contracting, Graham Bros., Highland Tractor and United Rentals. The equipment being sold at the auction includes: 150 forklifts, 115 wheel loaders, 100 hydraulic excavators, 90 crawler tractors, 90 articulated dump trucks, 60 motor graders, 60 loader backhoes, 25 motor scrapers, and 15 agricultural tractors. All transportation items including more than 80 pickup trucks and 80 recreational vehicles, plus other consumer items, will be sold on Day 3 (May 29). Items will continue to be added to the sale, right through to auction day.
