United Minerals Corporation Releases Drilling Update on Kimberley Bauxite and Pilbara Iron Ore

United Minerals Corporation reported progress on the Kimberley Bauxite project, on which an MOU exists between UMC and the international aluminium producer Norske Hydro. Discussions have proceeded on the final JV documentation over recent months, and Norske Hydro and UMC will meet in early September to address a range of project material including final outstanding matters of the agreement. Drilling has recommenced for the 2007/8 program following successful reconnaissance work completed last year. Drilling has now been completed at the Pilbara Iron Ore Project. A total of 193 RC holes were drilled for a combined total of 6340m.
