Vantex Resources Ltd.: Diamond Drilling Results on the Guillet Property

Tuesday, August 19th 2008

The management of Vantex Resources Ltd. announces the completion of its diamond drilling program on the Guillet property, located in the Belleterre area, Temiscamingue, Quebec. The diamond drilling program was under the supervision of Daniel Kelly, consultant geological engineer and Qualified Person as per NI 43-101. Assays were made by Laboratoire Expert Inc., in Rouyn-Noranda.

The Company drilled 39 drill holes on the Nord-Est area, the Audrey A and B showings, the Jolette Nord zone, the 190 zone and the Jourdan zone for a total of 6,291 metres. 1,380 samples were taken and assayed for a total of 1,559 linear metres. Standards and blanks samples were used for the QC/QA program.

Results for holes GU08-18 to GU08-21, GU08-26, GU08-39 and GU08-41 to GU08-43 are still pending.

The best results to date are from the Jolette Nord and the Jourdan zones.

Jourdan zone

Holes LE08-222 to 224 and LE08-228 to 230 were drilled on the Jourdan zone to verify its lateral and down-dip extension. Hole LE08-229 cut 19.65 g/t Au over 1.10 metres along the hole and hole LE08-222 intersected 2.37 g/t Au over 5 metres including 5.5 g/t Au over 1.75 metres.

Jolette Nord zone

The company decided to drill a few short holes on this zone to test the results of some surface sampling taken earlier on this summer. From 76 channel samples varying from 0.3 to 1 metre in length, near 40 % of the samples gave results of over 0.1 g/t Au and up to 77.38 g/t Au.

Holes GU08-39 to GU08-43 were drilled on this zone located at about 1 kilometre west of the Lake Expanse zone. Hole GU08-40 intersected 12.67 g/t Au over 1.35 meter, along the hole, including 56.04 g/t over 0.30 metre. Results for the other holes from this area are pending. This first result shows an interesting potential for this new zone.

Zone 190

Five short holes were drilled on zone 190, located some 400 metres north of the Lake Expanse showing, to verify its lateral extension and down-dip extension. Hole LE08-221 drilled under hole LE07-190 returned 1.86 g/t Au over 1.85 metres while holes on each side of hole LE08-221 did not return significant values.

Zone C (Lake Expanse showing)

Hole LE08-227 was drilled on the Lake Expanse showing to verify the possible extension of the Zone C. This hole intersected de 1.91 g/t Au over 0.30 metre along the hole.

On the Nord-Est and Audrey A and B zones, no significant values were intersected in the drill holes. 8 drill holes were drilled on the Nord-Est zone to verify geophysical anomalies (Mag and VLF) detected in the 2006 and 2007 surveys while the drill holes on the Audrey showing were drilled to verify the lateral extension of the zone.

The Company has not yet obtained all the permits to proceed with its bulk sample.
