J.A.G. Mines Ltd. Drilling Campaign on the Belletere Property

J.A.G. Mines Ltd. announces the filing on SEDAR of the geologist report following the Drilling Campaign on the Aubelle JAG’s property in Belleterre, Quebec in the Guillet Township. The report was prepared by Mr. Mehmet F. Taner, P.geologist Ph.D. It presents the results of the December 2007, 3,100 m diamond drilling campaign.

A total of 19 holes were executed in order to evaluate the Aubelle Main Gold Zones, in the Central part of JAG’s mineral claim block. Previous work indicated continuous mineralization over a strike of 700 meters. This drilling campaign returned significant gold values from the majority of the holes that interesected the Aubelle Main Zone. Of particular interest, was an intersection of a hangingwall zone in Hole AUB-07-10 which returned 10 g/t over 1.8 m.

Dr Tanner recommends, due to the positive results from this program, to continue with an evaluation of the gold potential of the property. The eastern side of the shaft area appears to have the best potential for more mineralization in the Aubelle Main Zone. The significance of the felsic intrusive that intersects the main zone near the shaft is still unknown but the author believes, considering the high background values in gold, that the potential for a high tonnage deposit within this rock type is very good.

JAG has been active in the Belleterre area since 1985, the property is composed of 77 claims in the Guillet Township, covering an area of 1,153 hectares over the years in excess of $3,000,000 of exploration work has been done. The most promising sector is the Aubelle 1, resulting in the discovery of a number of gold and silver veins.

JAG holds since April 2006, permits of research for oil and natural gas, covering an area of 332,790 hectares (932,000 acres) located in three regions of Quebec. More than $500,000 of exploration work was realized so far with the collaboration of geologists from l’Institut de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS). JAG is currently active on the properties.
